Young Dutch athletes to take part of the AC Endeavour program and Hobie Regatta

These two young girls are catsailors and have been chosen and sent by Kees Krijger and van Houwelingen from Catclub Zeeland, to participate in America’s Cup Endeavour Hobie regatta.

Taking place in Bermuda, America’s Cup Endeavour Hobie Regatta is one of these projects every young sailors needs. Competitions and club work being the best way for young athletes to master their technique.

David Brookes, the executive director of the International Hobie Class Association (IHCA), contacted the young Dutch girls, Fay and May to tell them the good news.  Amongst 15 other teams from all nationalities, Fay and May will compete and try to pass the qualifying races before getting to the main game. The event will be recorded by America’s Cup cameras and will take place on 24th of June.

The young Dutch girls, aged 13, expressed their enthusiasm and determination to attend the Bermuda’s mythical sailing competition and prove themselves skilled catsailors.

The America Cup Endeavour program is the result of the collaboration between America’s Cup and several famous marine industry contributors in order to enable young athletes to fulfill their dreams and leave their mark on the Bermuda’s sailing history.
